I hear you, loud and clear. I'm grateful all the time for Brian O'Connor


(and Karl Kuhn). UVa wasn't doing so well earlier this year. But O'Connor made some adjustments and the team is starting to click. To me, that's the magic of college sports. Quality coaches and quality kids the coaches can bring along and make successful.

Super-regionals and CWS (even Natties) are nice, but the heart of the sport is seeing that development. Seeing these kids learn to execute on the field. And seeing their excitement at it all.

It makes me remember what it's like to be young, competing, and finding your way.

Hopefully, your coach will get in some of the right recruits, get it together, and field a product that makes you proud, year in and year out. It doesn't get any better than that.
